Christmas Sales Neiko Heavy-Duty 3/8" Conversion Chuck for Impact Drivers - Quick Change Shank - 1/2" Adapter for Impact Wrench Overview

Cordless impact drivers are one of the most popular power tools on the market today with small form-factor, excellent battery life and amazing power. Their main drawback is the quick-change receiver accepts only hex-shank accessories - unless you've got this conversion chuck. The quick-change hex shank locks securely into the driver's receiver and works like a regular drill, so you can use round-shaft drill, carving, grinding and polishing bits. And - unlike some conversion chucks - the chuck body is locked to the shaft so you'll able turn bits both right- and left-handed without causing jaws to loosen. As an added bonus, the unique adapter includes lets you attach the chuck to impact wrenches, ratchet handles or breaker bars with 1/2" square anvil. And used by itself, the adapter holds any 1/4" hex-shank bit; made of Chrome-Vanadium steel alloy for superior strength. Lastly, the quick-change shank can be removed from the chuck and the chuck attached directly to most 3/8" power cordless drill spindles with left-hand threaded screw. Dimensions: chuck diameter 1-5/16", length with quick-change shank 3-1/4" (1-15/16" without) total weight 6.2 oz. NOT FOR USE WITH PNEUMATIC TOOLS. Made in Taiwan.

How To Build A Patio Cover

If willing to experiment and build a Patio Cover, hammer out questions as to why you need a Patio Cover, for what purpose, whether it would be painted or made with wood, prefabricated aluminum or PVC, and if permission is required from state or city authorities. Remember that a patio is an extension of the house, generally not more than 12 feet and single-storied. The patio can be fully covered or have no cover. No special skills are required for building a Patio Cover except co-coordinating your patience, dimension of area, number of wood or aluminum panels and material required.

Heavy Duty Drill

Begin with the necessary spade work according to weather conditions, area and usage of patio. The next step is selecting material from a comprehensive range, including polycarb panels for high summer or winter temperatures, vinyl opaque all weather conditions, vinyl translucent and clear panels suitable for use in milder weather conditions, aluminum pan roof that is cool, durable and requiring little maintenance, or insulated foam panels providing insulation for a strong low-maintenance roof. The panels should fit and install easily, and offer design flexibility. Check if the gutter system is accessible for cleaning whether it is w-pan gutter, roll form gutter or extruded gutter and valance.

Heavy Duty Drill

For that professional Patio Cover you would need appropriate tools; you can order a complete tool kit or purchase one. The tools required would be a 3/8"" drill bit, hack saw or electric jig saw with fine-toothed blade for metal, a caulking gun, measuring tape, screwdriver, hammer, metal snips, socket and shank, crescent wrench, level, carpenter's square, ladders, heavy duty pencils, masonry and nuts and bolts. If the patio is attached to the house then the existing support system will help cover to fit easily. For a free-standing patio the cover will have to be fitted on all four sides, depending on shape. The building instructions will guide you step by step.

Bathtub Lift Chair Makes Independent Living Possible For Seniors

Until recently, only a few people know that there is such a thing as bathtub lift chair. Bath lifts are designed to make bathing easier, and for old people, to make it possible to bathe independently.

Heavy Duty Drill

It can be very tough for the elderly to cleanse in the bathtub. They have to walk on the slippery bathroom floors, and then find a way to enter the high-edged tub, and then lower themselves on the bathtub floor. For old people, this can easily turn into a very stressful experience that they instead take showers than enjoy a warm and relaxing cleansing ritual. However, taking a shower requires them to stand for a long time, making them prone to accidents like slipping or falling. To avoid this, family members hire someone to help the elders when bathing.

Heavy Duty Drill

Old people do not have to go through these traumatic and embarrassing experiences. Bathtub lift chairs allow seniors to live independently. These specially designed seats safely raise and lower a person into a bathtub. Lift chairs utilize a rechargeable battery to lift and lower the user. Intelligently made, these chairs will not lower the seat unless there is enough power to lift it again. The units are secured to the bathroom floor by strong suction cups and do not require any drilling on the floor.

Plenty of bath seats are available depending on the elder's needs, taste, and budget. For a relaxing bath, you can look at the Reclining Bathtub Lift Chair by Neptune. Of course, nobody would want to sit up straight while taking a bath. Even persons without special needs want to comfortably sit and lay one's back while cleansing.

Even if the seat is reclined, Neptune's lift chair will still fit in your tub. Its design allows more legroom for the user while also allowing the chair to recline. The suction caps on the chair's feet are wider than standard models, allowing for better fit. For bathtubs with anti-slip surface, you can place its feet further back so they will not come into contact with that area. It also has a firm grip that effectively supports an old person when he or she gets out of the seat.

Are you worried that it will not fit to your bathtub? This reclining lift chair is narrowly designed so that it will fit to a wide variety of tub. As with most models, Neptune Reclining Bath Lift folds in two and takes up only a small space in the closet. It is lightweight and portable you can literally carry it with you, whether you are traveling or simply transferring it from one room to another.

Since most bathtub lift chairs use rechargeable batteries, you can purchase extra battery packs to make sure that the device is always ready to use.

If your loved one is having a tough time entering and exiting the bathtub, a bathtub lift chair is probably a good investment that you may want to consider. It is an economical choice that provides privacy and independence for an old person using the bathroom.

Drilling Ceramic Tiles: How To Drill Holes In Ceramic Tile

Drilling holes in ceramic tiles isn't as difficult as it might seem

Heavy Duty Drill

Are you afraid of drilling through ceramic wall tile in case you crack or scratch the tile? I know that I was the first time that I did it. The thought of having to replace a perfectly good tile because I had destroyed it with my drill was just a little daunting. Don't worry though, it isn't nearly as difficult as it looks and if you follow a few simple rules your ceramic tile drilling should turn out just fine.

Heavy Duty Drill

Use the correct type of drill bit

You need to use a carbide tipped drill bit for drilling into ceramics. The more common twist-drill bits that you might use for drilling into metal are not suitable because they will not be able to cut through the hard ceramic glaze on the tile. You may find that your DIY store has drill bits specialy marked for the purpose of drilling through ceramic tile.

Prevent the drill bit from slipping or skating on the ceramic surface

Take 2 pieces of masking tape and stick them on the ceramic tile in an 'X' pattern so that the hole will be in the center of the cross. This will help to stop the drill bit from slipping off target when drilling. Use a variable speed drill and start very slowly until the surface glaze has been penetrated to give the drill bit a guide. I like to drill very slowly all the way through to be on the safe side.

Change the drill bit when you are through the ceramic tile

When you feel the drill bit reaching the back of the tile be careful to slow down the drilling to ensure a clean exit at the back of the tile. When you are all the way through change the drill bit for one more suitable to drilling through the material that the ceramic tile is mounted on. You most likely will need either a wood drill or a masonry drill bit at this point.

Drilling a pilot hole

Unless I'm drilling a large hole in ceramic tile I never drill a pilot hole first but I do know that some people advise that you do. I prefer to be very careful and start drilling very slowly to make sure that I'm on target and the bit doesn't slip. I don't have to buy 2 ceramic tile drill bits that way.

Choosing a drill

When drilling ceramic tiles make sure that you use a power drill that has a variable speed control, which can be set to rotate very slowly. Portable battery operated power drills can be very good for this purpose.

The Different Types of Plastics and Their Uses

ABS : a terpolymer made from three monomers, acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene. Acrylonitrile and styrene provide chemical resistance, butadiene adds impact resistance and makes the plastic suitable for furniture, computer housings etc.

Heavy Duty Drill

Acrylic: a hard thermoplastic made from acrylic acid or a derivative of acrylic acid. Best known as a glass substitute, typically under the trade names Perspex, Lucite and Plexiglas.

Heavy Duty Drill

Amino plastics: Plastics made from ammonia based compounds, namely urea formaldehyde and melamine formaldehyde.

Bakelite : really a trade name but frequently used as a generic name for phenol formaldehyde (phenolic).

Cellophane : A Du Pont trade name for film made from regenerated wood pulp (cellulose).

Cellulose : The fibrous matter in all plant cells, with a long chain molecular structure. The most common sources used for making plastics are cotton fibres and wood pulp

Cellulose acetate: A tough thermplastic made from cellulose in the form of cotton linters, treated with acetic acid and acetic anhydride. Used for many domestic mouldings such as spectacle frames, toothbrush handles, and as transparent packaging film.

Cellulose acetate butyrate: A thermoplastic made from cellulose treated with acetic and butyric acids. Transparent, opaque or coloured, with excellent moulding qualities, used where more moisture resistance and dimensional stability than cellulose acetate is required.

Copolymer: A plastic made by polymerizing two monomers, eg styrene and acrylonitrile .

Elastomer: A synthetic plastic with the flexible properties of rubber.

Epoxy resin: A very tough thermosetting resin used as a coating, or reinforced to make mouldings or laminates.

Ester : A compound produced by the reaction between an acid and an alcohol.

GRP : Glass reinforced polyester, ie polyester resin strengthened by glass fibres, making the resin, which has no strength of its own, into a very tensile material. Widely used to build boats, furniture and cars.

HIPS : High impact polystyrene

LLDPE : Linear low density polyethylene, a new type of low density polythene.

Melalmine : Melamine formaldehyde, a thermoset produced by reacting (triaminotriazine) with formaldehyde. A tough glossy plastic usually strengthened with a filler of wood pulp.

Monomer: A simple low molecular weight compound. Polymerization links monomers together to form high molecular weight polymers.

Nylon: Not one material but a group of very tough and flexible materials called polyamides. Thermoplastic and usually found as fibres or used solid, as gears, zips and more recently as dyed jewellery.

Phenolic: abbreviated version of phenol - formaldehyde. Phenolic is usually reinforced with a filler, but cast phenolic has no filler and can be translucent. It can be easily coloured and is used decoratively for jewellery, radio cabinets and all kinds of ornaments.

Polycarbonate : A very tough thermoplastic, usually found as a substitute for glass, eg: vandal proof telephone kiosks, bullet proof shields, baby bottles and picnicware.

Polyesters : Complex ester compounds which are thermosetting and can be polymerized at room temperature, eg GRP.

Polymer : Another word for a plastic material: one which has been made from chains of molecules of one or more monomers. Polymers (plastics) are organic substances, made from hundreds or thousands of molecules linked together in a repeating chain pattern (also known as macromolecules).

Polymerization : The chemical process of linking monomers to form new compounds called polymers. For example, ethylene is polymerized into polyethylene, (polythene for short).

Polypropylene : A thermoplastic polymerized from propene, very close to polythene in molecular structure, but harder, stronger and less flexible.

Polystyrene : A brittle.water white thermoplastic polymerized from styrene - (phenylethylene). The brittleness is overcome by adding some butadiene, which results in toughened polystyrene also known as high impact polystyrene (HIPS), a copolymer of butadiene and styrene. Expanded polystyrene is the rigid white foam used for packaging.

Steel Boned Tight Lacing Corsets - Modern Terminology

These modern definitions are what people now perceive them as; these are the phrases generally used on the world wide web and what are meant by them within the realm of corsetry!

Heavy Duty Drill

Corset:

Heavy Duty Drill

Originally, the definition of a corset was a pulled in waist i.e. a corseted waist. Corsets were typically boned with canes, card, thread, wood and whale bones and later steel bones. The modern "corset" is a much looser term and it applies to just about any tight fitting garment that resembles a corset, including the spandex plastic boned lingerie corsets and unboned heavy weight corset style tops and even belts at times, hence the need to further specify.

Steel boned corset:

Originally a variation of the normal corset with steel bones instead of whale bones. A decade ago it was the term use for a proper corset, typically with a 4 inch waist reduction. The modern steel boned corset is typically defined by tight fitting garments with steel boning resembling traditional corsets but may not have any waist reduction. Further specification was again required.

Tight Lacing:

Tight lacing was often used to describe the traditional corsets that pulled in the waist more than 4 inches. Until a few years ago this term was also used for modern corsets that pulled in your waist more than 4 inches. The modern definition is now any corset that reduces your waist by 2-4 inches. They do not necessarily have to be steel boned but most are.

Extreme tight lacing:

This is a relatively new term, it came about to replace the original meaning of tight lacing as above; meaning a corset that reduced your waist by more than 4"

Heavy Duty Corset:

This is a fairly new term, originally used for heavy weight corsets with 3 or 4 layers, 2-3 layers of heavy weight coutil or drill and an outer layer in the chosen fabric - Used for long lasting corsets or extreme tight lacing. In modern times they are typically 2-3 layers, either a heavy coutil with an outer or 2 layers of medium weight fabric and an outer - Used for standard tight lacing corsets (2-4inch reduction)

Long line corset:

Originally referred to corsets that go all the way down to below the buttock. Although there are a handful of manufacturers around today that still produce proper long-line corsets the term usually applies to corsets that come down to or below the belt line, covering some of the hip.

Grommets and Eyelets:

Grommets or Eyelets are the Holes at the back of the corset for lacing. The term grommet is used mostly in the USA, the term eyelet is used mostly in the UK.

Flat/sprung/spiral steel boning:

Flat steel boning (sometimes called sprung steel boning in the USA) is a thin flat boning made of spring steel (the same steel springs are made from but in a flat solid piece) It is usually coated in plastic to prevent rust and the edges cutting through. Spiral steel boning (sometimes called spring steel boning in the UK) resembles a spring that has been crushed flat, it is also made from spring steel but actually looks like a spring rather than being a solid piece. These two types of boning are used predominantly throughout steel boned corsets, the spiral boning offers a little more flexibility. Occasionally Rigid steel bones are used in fetish/torture corsets.

Waspie/Waist cincher corset:

A waspie or waist cincher (UK or USA respectively) in the sense of corsets is a small corset only controlling and pulling in the waist. This term is often applied to underbust corsets and wide belts.

Underbust corset:

A corset that starts below the bust and usually ends near the belt line.

Overbust corset:

A corset that starts above the bust and usually ends near the belt line.

How To Install A Tonneau Cover

A tonneau cover is an important tool for people who drive their trucks on a daily basis. It will protect your cargo, and will also help you conserve fuel. A locking tailgate is a device which helps keep the cover closed. In this article I will show you the first steps for installing a cover. In this example we will be using a Ford F-350, but the same basic rule applies to most trucks. Your cover is likely to come with a manual, and you will want to refer to it also.

Heavy Duty Drill

The first thing you want to do is remove the cover and the accessories from the package. You want to make sure you follow the instructions of the manufacturer when doing this. You may also want to use a soft cloth in order to keep the rolled top from moving back and forth while inside the container. Connect the lock arm onto the bottom of tonneau handle. Once you have installed it the lock should be able to reach over the edge in order to lock the top. You can test the lock by using a key to make sure it works.

Heavy Duty Drill

Now you want to take the cannister and place it on the rail of the truck. Place it in the area where you want it to be, but make sure you don't connect it right now. Take off the side channels and other things from the packaging to insure it is the correct length and will fit on the side rails. When you unroll the cover, it will move back inside channels that are attached to the side rails of the truck. This stops the cover from becoming loose due to wind. Take a measurement of your truck bed to make sure the channels will fit.

If the channels are too long, you may need to cut off the parts you don't need. Once you've attached them you want to make sure the tailgate has enough space to close. You will need to mark the spots on the rails where you will be placing the screws. You can add a clamp to the track while you are taking your measurements to make sure they are accurate. A grease pencil can be used to mark the locations. After this you will want to take off the clamps and get ready to drill the holes. Make sure you drill them in the correct location.

After this you will want to attach the track onto the truck bed rail. You will need to use screws for this. These are the basic steps for installing a tonneau cover, and should give you a good idea of what you will need to do.

Christmas Sales Milwaukee 0299-20 Magnum 8 Amp 1/2-Inch Drill Specifications

Power, power, power is what you get. The all-metal gear case and diaphragm add a little heft to Milwaukee's drill, but the performance is unbeatable. Further, for such a heavy drill, it sits nicely in hand, thanks to the ergonomic grip and comfortable, longer trigger. Kudos to Milwaukee designers for placing the reversing switch at your trigger fingertip. The all-metal keyed chuck is built for a long work life and will see thousands of half-inch shank bits in its time. You’ll love the included side handle if you’re going to be working this tool for any length of time, as it is a heavy piece. It's a workhorse. The quality is unsurpassed.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

Building the Best Subwoofer Speaker Box Enclosure For Your Car Or SUV

Box Building

Heavy Duty Drill

Each type of sub requires it's own type of box. If a sub is installed in a box larger or smaller than what is supposed to, it will sound distorted/bad and could be destroyed. Boxes can be built in many shapes, but it is important that the box volume is calculated accurately to achieve maximum performance.

Heavy Duty Drill

Materials

A box MUST be very sturdy. Most common building materials are 5/8" or thicker particle board or medium density fiberboard. If building a box with Plexiglas, do not use anything less that 1/2 inch thick. A common material used to mold complex shaped boxes is fiberglass, but it is very hard to work with, and require several layers for a smooth finish.

Gluing, Sealing

Glue should be used at all joints to fill any spaces. Any spaces will degrade the performance of your subs, not to mention the annoying noise air makes when being pushed out of a small hole. On applying the glue, let it cure for at least 24 hours before mounting the subs. This is a precautionary measure to protect the rubbers used to make the subs from the high fumes that some manufacturers glue products have.

Holding Joints Together

In connecting box joints, it is best to screw the joints every four inches or so using 2" - 2-1/2" screws. Pre-drill about 3/4" deep, so that screws do not split the wood at the edges, especially when working with particle/dashboard.

Should I have a Box for Each Sub?

It is advised to have a separate chamber for each sub. Even though not necessary, here are two reasons why such a directive should be taken: First, if one of the subs blows, then the volume of the box will be "twice" as big for the one remaining working sub. This could cause problems and even damage the other sub. The second reason is bracing. Building a box with a divider in the middle will make the box more rigid.

Ports

Ports must be built into your box design to channel out the air made by the sub's vibrations. If a pre-made port is not available, the most common material is PVC. PVC is very rigid, comes in different diameters. Cut the tubing at the desired length. Consider the volume the port takes up when calculating the box volume. Cut a hole in the box. Make sure the hole is as perfect as possible to minimize gaps between the box and the tube. A couple wood braces can be added for screwing the port top the box. Seal the gaps using a proper sealant (Evo Stick or even silicone can be used).

Bracing

Boxes that are more than a foot in width or length or height, should be braced so that the box becomes more sturdy. This can be accomplished with a piece of wood maybe 3 or 4 inches wide across the box). It is a good idea to put wood blocks on the corners for reinforcement. Always consider that blocks, braces, neon lights, etc. inside a box take up space and should be accounted for when calculating internal volume.

Damping/Filling

Damping increases subwoofer efficiency by dissipating some energy that affects the sub, particularly the voice coil. It is advisable to put damping material inside a box. Pillow polyfill and fiberglass insulation are common, though polyfill is a lot easier on your skin. Polyfill also "tricks" a sub into thinking it is in a bigger box. Play around with different amounts of polyfill until you get the desired results.

Making it look professional

Make the box surface free from holes and spaces by adding wood fill. If you decide to paint the box, then you should apply primer first. Carpet or Vinyl padding is the best covering to use since they easily cover any outer blemishes on the box and give the box a 'smooth' outlook. Be careful when cutting the vinyl or carpet since such cutters tend to be very sharp. Cut a piece of carpet (or vinyl) big enough to cover the whole box. Apply adhesive to both box and carpet (EvoStick works great). Wait about a minute and place the fabric over the wood. For the best fit, stretch the fabric when applying it. The fabric should wrap around and end in a place of the box that will not be seen. Do one side at a time, cutting excess carpet. If possible, add staples preferably heavy duty staples that can penetrate the box, to hold the fabric at the ends. NOTE: Do not cover each panel of the box before mounting it together since it would be impossible to find any 'leaks' that may exist in the box design much less fill these leaks.

Should You Masturbate Before Going Out on a Date?

If you've seen the movie There's Something About Mary, you're probably familiar with the conversation between Ben Stiller and Chris Elliott about "The Loaded Gun Theory".

Heavy Duty Drill

Essentially, the premise is that when you go out on a date with a woman, it's probably a good idea to masturbate rather than show up at her doorstep with only one thing on your mind.

Heavy Duty Drill

Well, when this particular topic came up in conversation recently (excuse the unintended pun) I decided to do a bit of research.

As it turns out, assuming you word your Google search in a way that doesn't result in a barrage of "adult" sites, you'll quickly find that almost everyone who has thought about the topic du jour has come to the same conclusion: It's best to masturbate before going on a hot date.

The reasons cited are generally twofold:

1)   It takes the "pressure" off

2)   If something physical WERE to happen on the date, you'd be less likely to experience premature ejaculation.

Granted, conventional wisdom would point to this all being solid logic.  But not so fast.

The problem with "conventional wisdom", as so eloquently pointed out by Freakonomics author Steven Levitt, is that it usually is based on the EASIEST conclusion to draw rather than what may perhaps be the CORRECT one.

And the more I consider the "Loaded Gun Theory", the more I'm beginning to believe there's more to think about than what's on the surface.

In fact, I'd like to challenge you to consider if it's actually best to store it up for a few days before a particularly anticipated meeting with a woman.  Here's why.

First of all, I have a sneaking suspicion that when we as guys are physically geared up for sexual excitement, we just may radiate more of a sexual (read: "masculine") presence physiologically.

Forget "pheromone spray", gentlemen. My gut feeling is that when you're flat out "in the mood", women can somehow sense that...and the woman in them "wakes up" physiologically.

As I said, I really couldn't find anything to support this hypothesis on Google, but consider some of the buzz surrounding MOTOS (Members Of The Opposite Sex) based on their various possible states of sexual readiness, hormone levels, etc.

Indeed, women tend to spend more time thinking about this sort of thing, and some of the ideas that have gained traction over the years include how women tend to have a certain "glow" about them when pregnant, and how when a woman is at her MOST FERTILE point in her monthly cycle she's ALSO at her sexual peak...even, perhaps, as unconsciously acknowledged my men around her.

So here it is: Considering we're all human beings here, why wouldn't a similar but gender-specific set of premises hold true for us as men?

Further, I think that if you're more sexually tuned up in the moment, you're more likely to feel that much more excitement in your soul when engaging an attractive woman on a date. And that kind of energy can lead to some serious fireworks (the key word being "lead", as always).

The analogy of what happens when you go grocery shopping while hungry may not be far off here.   If you've just visited an "all you can eat" buffet you're more likely to postpone hitting the supermarket until tomorrow.

But if you missed lunch and are starving, you probably can't wait to go food shopping.

I've actually run the ideas I've just described by several women over the last few days, and they ALL agreed with me...ASSUMING the guy was mature enough to stay in control of things.

It goes like this: Women actually LOVE IT when a man radiates primal sexuality on a date.

What they DON'T love is when guys act like Neanderthals. They don't like feeling pressured and/or "used".

Interesting.

So I have a feeling that "personal control" may in fact be the kicker here.

Let's face it; if you are hungry when you hit the grocery store you may spend twice as much money on stuff you'll probably never get around to eating before it goes bad. But ONLY if you lack discipline.

And yes, if you're about ready to drill a hole in your mattress by the time you meet up with a woman, you may have "tunnel vision" and come off as too sex-focused or even DESPERATE when you're with her.

But again...that will ONLY hold true if you lack discipline.

What we have here, gentlemen, could actually be a very real LITMUS TEST by which we can measure whether or not we have MASTERY over our own sexuality or not.

That's heavy duty, isn't it?

If you can't handle the heat, then yes...you'd probably better masturbate before a date.

But that would be your loss.

Because considering that women are actually ROCKED TO THE CORE by being in the presence of a man who is both sexually charged and self-disciplined, if you CAN keep your composure when in that state you might very well have a WILDLY POWERFUL advantage over most other guys out there.

And I'm not going to discount that this may be yet another piece of the puzzle as to why older guys can attract younger women who think guys their own age are "so immature".

As for the premature ejaculation part of the argument, by the way, even that may be less of an issue than you think.

Contrary to popular belief (there's that "conventional wisdom" again), a woman may actually be FLATTERED if you blast off quickly your first time together. I can guarantee it beats the opposite scenario.

Besides, if she's that hot, don't you think you'd have a "second round" in you somewhere?

What do you think? Can you field-test everything we're talking about here without freaking out? Can you believe that a woman may in fact respond to you in a completely new and powerful way?

At the very least, I can assure you that if you CAN handle all of this and apply it, you'll be operating at a level that most guys can't touch. And you'll probably enjoy your dates that much more, all the while becoming the newly crowned world champ at ramping up sexual tension.

After all, what guy DOESN'T want to gain every available advantage when it comes to separating himself from the "herd" and realizing the ability to attract the very highest quality women on Earth?

Should You Masturbate Before Going Out on a Date?

Stihl Chainsaw Prices - The Truth About Stihl Chainsaw Prices

Price is a big consideration when purchasing a chainsaw especially for a first time or part-time user. Stihl chainsaw prices may scare a few non-professionals off but that's only because they are looking at the wrong models. One of the biggest mistakes newcomers make is to head for the heavy duty section and look at the biggest and most powerful machines on the market. Why? If you are intending to use it spasmodically then why not consider heading to the other end of the spectrum and looking at the smaller machines.

Heavy Duty Drill

For use around the home, the smaller machines are extremely effective in fact, don't let size put you off. For example, Stihl's new MS 192 C-E model is ideal for the work-at-homer. It features the advanced easy-to-start system and is comfortable for just about anyone to operate.

Heavy Duty Drill

Comparing Stihl chainsaw prices - at around 0, the MS 192 is ideally priced for someone not really hell bent on making a living with a chainsaw. Compare 0 to over 00 for the top of the line models and you can quickly get a guage on the difference between between the lightweight and heavyweight models.

Stihl Electric Chainsaws

One of the best pieces of advice a newcomer can get is to compare the electric chainsaws against the noisier, more expensive gas-powered models. The ideal situation is have have both electric and gas-powered but consider how much use you are going to put your new saw to and you may find an electric model under 0 may just be the ticket.

Don't worry though, while these electric models may be priced low, they have the necessary capability to perform well on minor jobs around the house. If you're comparing Stihl chainsaw prices, then buying a Stihl electric is stepping up a level again. While you'll be parting with anything up to four times the price you would for an electric saw at one of the main department stores, the Stihl models such as the MSE 220 are loaded with extra features.

What you need to decide is it could be more cost effective to purchase a good gas-powered model for the price you would outlay to buy the top electric model on the market.
